2023/10/23Poor diagnosis and bad treatment options recommended. 請不要為了要賺自費而隨便建議病人做不必要的治療。醫師！你真的認為下排前牙因為牙齒不整齊而容易產生牙結石，會因為做了牙套（crown) 而減少嗎？因為下前牙擁擠，而為了做牙套(crown)，所需要的crown preparation, 不會因為這樣，導致牙齒prepare too much而變成需要抽根管，或者導致整個牙齒變更小更脆弱?My mother went to do her regular dental cleaning today. She was a walk in patient. I appreciate that the dentist spent time to do the scaling and polishing for her. However, the dentist asked her to do 3-4 crowns over her lower anterior teeth because her teeth are crowding and it caused calculus. And the crowns will cost $72000.Excuse me !!! What is this poor diagnosis and the treatment the dentist suggested. It is obviously that you can try to do oral hygiene instruction to improve her oral hygiene.Moreover, the scaling and polishing only took 10 mins to do. Of course, my mother still has her calculus after she left the clinic. And the dentist even told her that she has 7 fillings need to be done. (Can the dentist tell me where are these holes ? And if they are buccal abrasion restorations, are you sure you can do the restorations well without overhang ?)
